The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) was established in 1914 to promote amateur radio communications. Also known as the National Association for Amateur Radio the Alabama Section of the ARRL is dedicated to improve and promote amateur radio activities in Alabama!

The Alabama Department of Public Health would like to invite you to join them for the 2010 ADPH Volunteer Symposia - The Role of an ADPH Volunteer.
This training will be offered three times throughout the state to enhance the capabilities of our volunteer work force to respond to a public health emergency. Each symposium will cover the same information, and the times and locations listed below will give volunteers and potential volunteers, statewide, the opportunity to attend. Topics will include: The Role of a Nurse in a Disaster, The Role of a Pharmacist in a Disaster, the Role of a Social Worker in a Disaster, The Role of an Amateur Radio Operator in a Disaster, and a Showcase of ADPH Emergency Response Assets.
