Alabama Amateur Radio Emergency Service Maps

Updated Alabama ARES Maps, 30Apr09

ARES Map Color- This is a PDF file, suitable for printing on inexpensive ink jet and laser printers. This file is attached to this e-mail. It's the perfect size to laminate and add to your jump kit, place inside binders, etc.

ARES Map Gray Scale-This file is perfect for reproduction on photocopiers. Some inexpensive printers may also reproduce this version better than the color file. This should be on a key fob drive in each EC's jump kit. During an actual incident, it's often necessary to photocopy large amounts of maps like these and distribute to volunteers.

ARES Map BW- This is a true line art map, with black and white only. It's designed for facsimile transmission, and other types of distribution where clarity could be an issue. It will also survive RF transmission well. Again, place it on a thumb drive, and carry it with you.

ARES Repeater Map Color- This is a larger sized print out which can be inexpensively printed out a Kinkos, Staples, etc. Highly suggest that all EOC stations print this map out, have it laminated, and post it near their operating positions.
