Huntsville Hamfest

The third full weekend in August, the place to be for hams in the Southeastern U. S. is Huntsville, Alabama's Von Braun Center - 700 Monroe Street SW. The site of one of the best hamfests in the USA.

Admission: is $6.00, Under 12 free.

Hamfest Hours: The hamfest will be open to the public from 9:00 to 4:30 PM on Saturday and 9:00 to 2:30 PM on Sunday. Grand prize drawing will be 4:00 PM on Saturday and 2:00 PM on Sunday.
Move-in hours for dealers and flea market are from 10 AM to 9 PM on Friday and 7AM to 9 AM on Saturday.

Third Annual Fayette Alabama Tailgate

 

 The Third Annual Fayette Alabama Tailgate will be on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Guthrie Smith Park on Highways 171 & 43 North next to the Fayette Airport (Richard Arthur Field). Their will be chances sold on a ICOM IC-2200H to be given away at the Tailgate as well as other door prizes. Talk in will be on the N4DSS Repeater of 147.200 positive offset with a tone of 110.9. The tone will be dropped for the day of the Tailgate. Also there will be set-up areas for anyone that wants to bring anything and everything to sell, swap and/or buy.

This will be a three part D-STAR seminar (beginning at noon). D-STAR
radios, hardware and communications examples will be shown. ARES,
EMCOMM, Southern Baptist Disaster relief amateurs are encouraged to attend.

Advanced D-STAR
