Wiregrass ARC, Bi-Annual Tail Gate
Headland Town Square
10 Park Street
Headland, AL
The WARC Bi-Annual Tail Gate is this Saturday October 18, 2008. This is a time to drag out items that you would like to sell and come join us for a morning of fun and fellowship. As we have in the past, the Tail Gate will be held on the square in Headland, AL and last from 8:00 AM CT – Until 12:00 PM CT or until everyone is gone. The last couple of years we have eaten lunch at one of the restaurants on the square so we are around the square until well after 2:00.
If you are planning on setting up and selling, there will be a $5.00 donation to the club to do so and please bring your own table. We will also be selling raffle tickets for door prizes. The tickets will be one for $1.00 or six of $5.00. As most of you know, we have been using the funds from the Tail Gates for the last couple of years to repair or purchase new items for the club repeaters and this year will be no exception. Please come out and support the club.
For those who are running APRS, there are plans to have an APRS station set up at the Tail Gate. Look for the club call which is WB4ZPI. Talk-in will be on 145.430 with a minus offset and NO tone.
For those of you that will need the physical address for driving directions, or would like a GPS coordinates that information is listed below.
We have an ARRL affiliated group that is planning to be on site to offering testing if anyone is interested. The test will be given at 11:00 AM CT. If you are interested in testing please drop me an email at ke4gwww@arrl.net to make sure we have enough tests available for everyone. You will also need to bring a photo ID, a copy of your current licenses (if you are upgrading), and $14.00 in cash.
